Where does the surname of The Language Motivator come from?
The village of Bainbridge is located in the Yorkshire Dales National Park 27.5 miles (44.3 kilometres) west from the County Town of Northallerton. It is also a civil parish in the Richmondshire district of North Yorkshire close to the confluence of the River Bain which, measuring at around two and a half miles long is Britain´s shortest river.
The Romans called Bainbridge ´Virosidium´ and you can find remains of a Roman Fort just east of Bainbridge on Brough Hill. Various Roman remains have been discovered here.
The Rose and Crown is the only public house in the village and is known to be the longest serving in Yorkshire dating back since 1445.
Bainbridge is a charming little village popular with visitors to the Yorkshire Dales National Park as it lies on the A684 road between Hawes and Aysgarth. Aysgarth Falls are famous for featuring in the film ´Robin Hood Prince of thieves´.
